Open Question: Differences between 2 Dublin
I listened to 2 different Dublin accents: Northsider (Glen Hansard, Brendan Gleeson, Aidan Gillen, Liam Cunningham) and D4 (Andrew Scott, Danny O'Donoghue, Ryan Tubridy, Amy Huberman).
But as being a foreigner, I still can't get what makes these accents so different.
Both accents don't have consistency at all (pronuncing "the" and "thanks" - sometimes like [də] [tæŋks], the generally known *Irish* way of pronouncing the word, but sometimes [ðə] [θæŋks], the general way spoken by the British and Americans).
Help me, Irish people (especially Dubliners) or Henry Higgins-es around the world.
