Open Question: Could this downton abbey
I'm trying to figure out if this actress (Sophie McShera [Daisy] from Downton Abbey) might have had a baby. Prior to Downton Abbey she was in a season of the show Waterloo Road in 2009. This scene was filmed anywhere between May and September 2009 (no way to tell because the show was filmed out of order). Her lower belly looks a bit funny and roundish. The video is worth watching - it's only 43 seconds long and is HD: http://youtu.be/BydnpEd_Y1s?t=6s Here's a screenshot from a different episode. It aired later in the season but could have been filmed earlier. http://i.imgur.com/KfUPK9L.png Her lower belly looks large and rounded. I thought nothing of it until I saw the first episode of the 2008 British drama, Survivors. She was only on screen for less than five minutes, but in that time they only filmed her above the chest; they never showed her belly. They hid her behind props (a large cardboard box, luggage, etc) She could have been pregnant then and postpartum during the filming of Waterloo Road. Obviously, since nobody's ever seen her with a baby, she'd have given it up for adoption. And on twitter, she plays around with a baby doll and her nickname (at least to fellow Downton Abbey actor Brendan Coyle) is "Baby David". In addition, her friend posted a picture of her with a man as a prank with the caption "Is that your baby daddy? I didn't know you'd started your chocolate phase yet. #augbd" Is "augbd" code for "And You Got Baby Daddy" or something similar?

Sophie McShera (Daisy) from Downton Abbey. In 2008 she was in the first episode of a British show called Survivors. She was only on screen for five or less minutes, but during those five minutes they filmed her from the chest up (they never showed her belly). For one shot they even had her sitting on a curb as they filmed her from behind, and when she stood up it was to pick up a large cardboard box, which completely obscured her belly. She isn't known to have any children, but she could have given it up for adoption or something. It would explain why she has such large breasts for such a thin person. It would also explain why she pretends to mother a fake baby doll on Twitter (i.e. a coping mechanism) and why her nickname among her friends, as well as with actor Brendan Coyle (Mr. Bates) is "Baby David". Thoughts? Does it sound to you like they were trying to hide a pregnancy during the filming of Survivors?

Resolved Question: Could this Downton Abbey

It aired later in the season but once again it could have been filmed earlier. I have a screenshot of it: http://i.imgur.com/KfUPK9L.png Her lower belly looks rather large and rounded. I thought nothing of them until I saw the first episode of the 2008 British drama, Survivors. She was only on screen for less than five minutes, but in that time they only filmed her above the chest; they never showed her belly. I have not been able to find the filming dates for the first season of the show, but it aired in November of 2008, which means that filming probably ended in October 2008 at the latest and most likely began around May 2008. Since there is no way of knowing when each of the episodes were filmed, I've deduced that the longest possible time between the filming of Survivors and the filming of Waterloo Road is 16 months (May 2008 - September 2009). If she had been far enough along for them to avoid shooting her whole body she probably would have been about 4 months pregnant, in which case she would have been 11 months postpartum...definitely long enough postpartum to no longer have a belly. On the other hand the shortest possible time between filming would have been 7 months (October 2008 - May 2009). If she had been 4 months pregnant in October 2008 she would have been 2 months postpartum in May 2009. Plus on her Twitter page she messes around with a baby doll (in a joking fashion), and her nickname (at least between her and Brendan Coyle [Mr. Bates]) is "Baby David". Could those be references to her life? So do you folks know if she had a baby in the past? She could have given it up for adoption or something.

Or does she simply have strangely-placed body fat and unflattering clothing?
