Resolved Question: Name of an Asian film
I remember just these details: In the movie this actor has to perform as a female on stage because that is the tradition. During practice he cannot sing right so his master beats him up and after the beating he manages to perform incredibly well bringing fame and fortune. Not sure if the film is Chinese or Japanese. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!
