Resolved Question: What movie popularized
Google keeps turning up a ventriloquist who used it in his act, but that's not what I'm looking for. My mom is trying to remember the MOVIE that made it popular. Says she: "I thought it was either Joanne Woodward or Rosalind Russell, and the plot involved several girls rooming together. Maybe."

Resolved Question: Does anyone know what
this movie, late 70's or early 80's I think, had these people trying to renovate a building like an old hospital or something. They get trapped there and one by one die, until this one couple is left and they find the devil(looking just like a mischievous man) in a trapdoored room under the place and they stab him(?) or something and finally escape. Two notably scenes involve the main male character trying to use a saw on a locked door and he is "overtaken" by the force of the house and cuts into his own hand. The other is when a different man manages to get outside the house but is immediately sucked into the ground and never seen again. Please help me,, this is getting to be annoying that I can't remember this! thank you all!!!

Resolved Question: Have you seen this movie?
This man lived on a farm with only his daughter. He was bitten by an animal that may or may not have had rabies. He chained himself out in the yard and told her "no matter what I say, don't unchain me" He then hears on the radio that some kind of flood is coming and everyone should go to high ground. He tells her to let him loose, cause there's a flood coming. Either a flood or tornado etc.. She cries and runs around all dramatic (haha) it was pretty good. Anyway he starts sawing at the chain and she thinks that he's crazy for sure and will bite her...etc. I don't want to ruin it for the rest of you..but I' like to find this movie. I always tell my wife that when I go crazy she'll have to chain me up in the yard.
PS. I hope it's not The Outer Limits or Twilight Zone.
