Resolved Question: Was Johnny Damon better
Statistically they are equal except Biggio had over 1,000 more plate appearances so he did more in reg season. Damon was a clutch player in the playoffs where Biggio was a bum in postseason. Biggio did not step up in the big games. Your thoughts?

Resolved Question: Johnny Damon DFA. Is He
Cleveland Indians designated Johnny Damon for assignment today. That means they have 10 days to either trade him or release him outright. Will someone pick him up on trade or free agent? If so, who?
BQ 46 hits on the season is very low, so I question his attracton for other teams. If he decides it's time to retire, will any of his former teams (Royals, Red Sox, Yankees or other) sign him to a 1 day contract to allow a Johnny Damon Day?
BQ2 Who is most likely to pick him up (as a player) if anyone?

Resolved Question: Dear ole Mr. Johnny Damon
For some reason, Johnny Damon is still on the Free Agent market. This kind of upsets me, considering that Damon is a veteran that could bring key experience to any outfield. Sure, he's nearing 38 years of age, but he's a left handed batter, and a pretty decent one at that.
Posting a career .286 average, 2,723 hits, 231 home runs, 1,120 RBI's, 1,643 runs scored, and 404 stolen bases. Damon isn't paid to hit home runs, but to get on base. For his age he is still one of the fastest guys in outfield, and could bring so much to a team, even off the bench.
The question is, where should he go.
As much as I would love to see him come here to play for Texas, with Hamilton's relapse issues going on and us possibly not wanting to resign him, there are a few teams that could use him.
1) Oakland. - Damon played with Oakland in 2001 and was a key loss when he signed with Boston the following year. With Oakland's somewhat young outfielders, Damon could be the crafty veteran in outfield helping out with tips and development. I mean, the guy DOES have 2 World Series rings. What's not to learn from him?
2) New York - For awhile it seemed very plausible that Mr. Damon would revert back to his clean cut days and throw on the pinstripes yet again. But, after the Burnett trade, the Bronx bombers only would pay for Raul Ibanez OR a left-handed DH. Well the Yanks ended up signing Ibanez instead. Yanks-out of the picture for Damon.
3) Kansas City? - I could see Mr. D going back to where it all started before he retires. He was drafted there in 1992, and played his first MLB game in Kansas City in 1995. The Royals would possibly have Billy Butler in the DH spot this year, now, I'm not taking anything away from Billy Butler. Kansas City has been his home since he debuted in 2007, and he's hitting a career .297, with 373 RBI's, which comes out to like, 74.6 RBI's a year in the 5 that he's played. But I think Damon would be a more suitable DH and Butler, a better first baseman, over Eric Hosmer.
But, sorry this got lengthy.
So what are your thoughts on where Damon should go, where you would like to see him go, and let's makes this fun, which free agents that are left, do you wanna see come play for your team, or where else they should go?
No player bashing please. As much of a Rangers fan as I am, I'm also a baseball fan, I have no hate for any other team due to my passion for baseball. Danke.

Resolved Question: Johnny Damon or Bret
Which player would benefit the Yankees more in the 2012 season? Both are lefties, playing LF.
BQ..how about Swisher? Since Damon and Gardner can't play in RF, would you replace Swisher?

Resolved Question: Is it time for the Tigers
Damon this year shows much skills can diminish so quickly, he is not providing a whole lot offfensively or defensively. He is on a one year deal and is ALWAYS about the money, so he will be gone next year. I can't imagine he has much trade value at this point, so releasing him might not be such a bad thing. I want Granderson back! Damon only plays for the money. That is why he left Boston for the Yanks! Then he tried playing hardball with the Yanks and got burned. He is not even worth the $8m he is getting from the Tigers now.
