Having watched all of the important filmography of Michelangelo Antonioni, I am in awe of his fantastic powers of cinema and find myself wishing for something similar. I know of no other filmmaker who achieved what he did with his best films, especially Red Desert. Can someone PLEASE recommend me a filmmaker who shares themes, styles, and philosophy with Michelangelo Antonioni?
