Resolved Question: Which character in Mike
Closer, while well-received in general and nominated for two Oscars, has detractors who claim the film is torture because the four main characters are so unsympathetic/unlikable. I highly disagree with this. I feel all the characters in Closer are, while incredibly flawed and fractured, very human and therefore sympathetic.
I sympathized most with Clive Owen's character, Larry. I felt terrible for him, and I rooted for him, even when he became something of a brute.
Bonus Q: Would you agree Natalie Portman was better in Closer than Black Swan?

I was watching Faces of America on PBS by Henry Louis Gates and it said Dr. Oz was related to the Nichols from Russia or at least my great aunt told me so. So are they related? Also is Dr. Oz have Nichols/Nikels in his family tree?
