Music Review: Calexico takes a sonic
The ninth studio album from Tucson, Arizona-based Calexico is a sonic road trip through the American Southwest, the roots of rock 'n' roll, the music of Mexico and more. "Edge of the Sun" is partly inspired by time spent in Mexico City, so cumbia and mariachi sounds mix with guitar and pedal steel. Core Calexicans Joey Burns — on vocals and guitar — and multi-instrumentalist John Convertino are ...

Resolved Question: Patsy Cline or Neko Case?
I just....I just don't know. Patsy Cline's voice has a crystal clear, jazzy quality. sort of aristocratic and dignified. Neko Case has a voice that is louder, more powerful, but can also be intimate and understated and material that is much more versatile (it doesn't get much more versatile than Neko Case's output, all the while putting out only quality music). I just don't know! I know Neko Case said that she wouldn't have a career if there were still singers like Patsy Cline around. Obviously not true, since Neko can certainly out sing most country singers of any era (other than Patsy Cline and a few others).
