Video games storm Classic FM's 2015
Video game music has enjoyed its strongest showing ever in the 2015 Classic FM Hall of Fame. The listener-voted chart now sees twelve tracks representing the medium. While that might not seem a huge number when the list is 300 strong -- a mere four percent -- that's four percent of a ranking that traditionally skews very traditionalist. Resolved Question: Is Nobuo Uematsu a fan of
I'm a fan of Nobuo Uematsu's work. Listen to these two songs, they're very similar.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upkHzM_9cHA - John Barry's Somewhere in time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agMU1TctqcQ - Uematsu's Final Fantasy 7 Theme
By asking I'm not implying Uematsu copied John Barry, I'm simply curious if Uematsu is a fan of John Barry?

Resolved Question: Nobuo Uematsu or Joe
whom doth thou prefer?
theyre both excellent composers, personally i prefer Uematsu, his music is more classical than romantic like Hisaishi's...
thats not to say I don't like Hisaishi, he has some beautiful works as well...
i just have a friend who prefers Hisaishi, but his reason is that Uematsu's works are all done for video games (Final Fantasy, to be precise) and i really dont think thats a valid reason...
unless you REALLY hated Final Fantasy...
meh. i just wanted some opinions from the general public... oh, i forgot...
everyone on y answers is a poptard, especially in the music section...
people dont listen to real music anymore, its kinda sad...
