Resolved Question: How does Patrick Suskind
this is what i have so far... In Perfume, Süskind also creates sympathy for the main character Grenouille, a creature who murders beautiful virgins for their scent, by describing Grenouille’s passion for scent and perfume. Although the reader is repulsed and frightened by Grenouille’s behavior, Grenouille’s drive and passion create understanding from the reader as they become one with the murderer and desire the single, perfect scent. Süskind achieves this through the use of third person narration which voices an alternative for dialog demonstrates the characters' thoughts.
