Resolved Question: Romance book i remember
i read this book years ago and i remember most of it but not the name, author or character names ..so the story is set maybe between the 1700-1800 ( ad) these people are living in a house/castle that doesn't really belong to them they are poor ..the guy is a earl, baron,or duke..he is supposed to come and basically kick them out or separate them ... when he arrives there i think a gargoyle or a peice of rock from the roof fall on him so he loses his memory .he wakes up starts to fall in love with the lady from the story the one lying to him about who he is so they can keep their home longer ..the day they get married he remembers everything but still marry s her ..he takes her back to his home in London along with most of her relatives ..he is not evil to her but not nice but i do remember her having a fear of these really big dogs he had as pets....he starts to fall in love with her again she ends up pregnant he figures out he loves her...and they live happily ever after...lol..i remember the cover having a big bed in a field or flowers i think.....so thanks and hope u can help me.(by the way i might be mistaken about things but most of it is right ..i think...)

He has relation to the devil.
He kills women, one he puts upside down on a cross
The other he scalps in a car.
