Resolved Question: Where to stay in Vendee,
We are going to France in August on the ferry to Le Havre and wanted to stay in the Vendee area before going to the towns of the Loire Valley. We have two small children so want to stay on a campsite near a nice, not too busy beach in a town or village with reasonable shops for food and restaurants with nice areas to visit nearby. We are considering La Tranche Sur Mer or Les Sables d'Olonne but don't know much about either. Which of these would be best or is there somewhere better? We don't really want to drive as far south as La Rochelle and I have heard that the beaches aren't so good there.
Thanks Thanks for the suggestions. These sound good. We are hoping to stay in a big village or small town rather than a major resort.
Thanks We have looked at the suggestions. We would like to camp within walking distance of a beach. Which are the nice small towns around this area?
