Resolved Question: Meribel, France. Walking
So I'm (hopefully) going to Meribel skiing next year (Feb 2012), I have family staying in Les Allues, but I can only find accommodation in Brides Les Bains.
Does anyone know how long it would take to walk between the two? Or if there is an evening bus service? I know there is a gondola for the day time, but it finishes at 17:30.
Thanks in advance!!

Resolved Question: Where should I snowboard?
I am a beginner snowboarder...my husband is an experienced snowboarder. We are traveling to Switzerland near the end of March, and don't know where to go. We have 4 days, so we would LOVE to snowboard in Switzerland and France (just to say we did it), but have no idea where to go. It seems like there are a million ski/snow boarding places in this area, but we do not speak another language, we are not getting a car, and we have never traveled outside of the North America before.
I want my husband to have the time of his life, but I feel overwhelmed trying to figure out which place is good, where to stay and how to get there...with no advice on what is good.

Resolved Question: MOUTIERS, France - How is
We might spend a day (Saturday) in Moûtiers (France) before skiing.
Would like to know how easy it would be to do Christmas shopping there, and also to buy clothes for skiing. For the later I would like to know if the shops are directed towards tourists or locals.
