I was born in Coventry during WWII. The city was well and truly "Coventrated" ie razed to the ground. Every day ordinary men, women and children took time to help their neighbours and to clear away the bomb damage. The Haitian people seem to be merely standing by and accepting aid from all over the world. Why don't they appear to be doing anything to help themselves?
