Resolved Question: Bombing in Southern Italy
For my anthropology class we had to interview and then write a paper on someone from another country, I thought to interview my grandmother. But there's one thing she said that I can't find the historical proof and I would like to know what was going on.... She said that through out her early childhood (she was born in '35, so she was a wee lass during WWII) having to run to her makeshift bunkers when citizens of Cosenza, Italy (and the surrounding countryside which is where she lived) had burning debris of some sort dropped on them. She also said that there were plans of huge exterminations of people in Marano Principato and I think she mention Castrolibro too but I guess it didn't end up happening? I would like to know how accurate this is since this was told from my great grandmother to her and she was so young too and I can't find much on this. And also, if there are any links or readings I can look into that would be great too. Thank you in advance.
