Resolved Question: Reykjavik, Iceland or
Next summer, I have a chance to travel to either Rome or Reykjavik for 2 months. This isn't an educational or family trip, I'll be alone So please tell me these things:
Which is more touristy?
Are tourists easy to avoid?
Which has cheaper lodging?
Who has the more pleasant people?
Which city is safer?
Which city has the better ability to speak English?
What is the extent if the language I will have to learn in each?

Resolved Question: Extended travel to Rome
I am thinking about going to Rome, staying for a while. What I want to do is (of course) be safe, rent an apartment for a month or two, then travel around Italy some while there. How do I search for places that are reasonable as a base while I see the sights in Rome? I've looked on Craigslist and prices seem very high. Most of those are for lots of people staying for a week or two. The apt/hotel, has to have wi fi as I will work while there. I want to be close to the attractions, restaurants, shops within walking distance Well, I don't ask many questions, so not sure of the reply button, but why come? It's my choice, I work everywhere I go due to being self employed.
I am sure there are apartments with wi fi in Rome.
I am planning on traveling in "off season"
I didn't think Rome as Disneyland. Is not Trevi Fountain an attraction? Or the Vatican, another?
It's my choice to travel and experience Europe now that I am a widow. Rome is like a magnet to me~

Resolved Question: Summer in Rome, Italy?
I have always wanted to go to Italy and this year my dad has finally agreed to go for a few days, as it is my sixteenth birthday in May. Ideally we would want to go in May, however I am also doing my GCSE's. The school advises to not book anything before the end of June as then you are risking missing exams (they don't tell us when the exams finish until a week before we start, on the 16th of May) so we would be looking at going in early July.
My dad was saying that it could be really really hot though, especially for an English girl like me (ha ha) so I was wondering what Rome is like in July? I know I can't know what it will be like until we get there, but is it likely to be uncomfortably hot?

Resolved Question: History of Rome - >
So... The Roman Empire, a civilzation which today is still stuided.
How did ROME turn to ITALY?
Rome is the capital as of Italy, when the whole of Italy used to be Rome, or the Roman Empire.
Shouldn't the country actually be called Rome??
Am I making sense?
