Resolved Question: Where should I travel to
A friend and I are looking into volunteering in Laos. Specifically at a village near Vang Vieng. We will be there for two weeks. After the two weeks, we would like to travel around and see some of the most beautiful paradise locations, or any "hot spots". Any ideas where to go from Laos? We would like to go to Thailand and try to make our way to Bali. Probably will stay at hostels. Sugguestions where to stop on the way, where to stay, and things to see would be appreciated. Also, what is the best way to get from Laos to Thailand, then to Bali? Bus, Train, Fly, Ferry? How long will it take from location to location? All reccomendations are appreciated! Happy Travels!

Resolved Question: How safe is tubing at
I'm traveling to Laos in a few months and I very much want to go river tubing at Vang Vieng. I've heard it's pretty shallow, which is good because I can't really swim, but if anybody has been, can you tell me how deep the river is, roughly? Is it shallow enough for me to not have to worry about? (I'll probably skip the zip lines, since I'm guessing they travel over deeper waters)

Resolved Question: Is Laos nice or nasty?
Me and my boyfriend are going travelling next year and we can't make up our mind about Laos. I've researched tubing in Vang Vieng it looks fun but is it just full of stupidly drunk tourists and is it very dangerous? Other parts of the county look very pretty and i'd quite like to experience it all. Can anyone who's been give me some help. Enjoy or avoid?

Also, what kind of cost would I be looking at? Will be happy to provide any more information, thanks in advance.
