Open Question: Is Zihuatanejo Mexico safe
My friends and I wish to travel to Zihuatanejo and potentially livery there, one of my friends has actually visited there multiple times and his grandfather owns property there, but, he wants most of us to live there to escape the stress inducing lifestyle we have here in the states (mind you, that is what he said) so, just for clarification, is Zihuatanejo safe for we Americans? Even if we choose to live there?

Resolved Question: Are there English
I am still learning Spanish and, although I am much better than the rest of the family, I am very rough. We take off soon, so I will not have time to learn anything.
It would suck getting lost or having difficulty ordering food.

Resolved Question: Mexico city to
I'm going to be in Mexico in December, flying in to Mexico City, spending a few days there, then heading down to Zihuatanejo by bus. Specific questions:
1) How long is this bus trip? I've read 8-9 hours, and that it's only 4 hours from Mexico City to Acapulco, which looks to be about the same distance. What gives?
2) Which bus station in Mexico City do buses to Zihuatanejo depart from?
3) From Zihuatanejo, I actually need to get to San Miguel de Allende, also by bus. Do I need to go back through Mexico City or is there a better route?
I know the two main bus lines between Mexico City and Zihuatanejo are Estrella de Oro and Estrella Blanca, but their websites don't show the schedules/routes/dates I want. (I speak and read Spanish--that's not the problem). I've done a ton of web searching for this stuff but if there are any hidden gems out there with good bus schedules or whatever please let me know. Thanks!

Resolved Question: Zihuatanejo, Mexico
Looking for a description of the beaches in Zihuatanejo from someone who has been there. Is the water clean & clear? Warm? Calm swimmiing conditions? What's it like in April?
Thank you in advance!
