Open Question: Best fixed blade for a
I am looking for a fixed blade knife for a survival kit. Nothing much longer than 15" total.
I really don't know much about knives, and from other questions, it seems some people here know a lot, so any help in the right direction would be great.
I know knives can run well into the $300's, but I have no idea if that is just a rip off, or they are made of a significantly better alloy. I could possibly spend that much, but it would need to be pretty awesome.

Resolved Question: I'm looking for a good,
I'm on a low budget. It can't be double edged, it has to be able to survive light to medium outdoor uses. Must be a fixed blade with a full tang. Blade can't be longer than 5inches. Any blade type; clip point, drop point, tanto, whatever. It can't be too expensive, either. Any ideas?
