Resolved Question: How to visit Switzerland
I will be in Zurich in a few days. I will be free there for one and a half day .I want to see Switzerland during this period. I have no idea where and how to visit. I have limited budget. Can you suggest me cheap hotels or any other type of accomodation? Where can I find good Indian food easily in low price? Please suggest how to visit other cities like Basel or any other. Please suggest me PRACTICAL ideas, not merely any link of city tour or restaurants.

Resolved Question: Short Trip to
I am planning a short trip (3 days) to switzerland with my wife and 3 year old daughter from Manchester in next couple of weeks. I know its a very short time frame but nevertheless would like to get the best out of these 3 days. Need your advice to see the best of switzerland on a budget.
1. Which are the best places to cover, considering that would like to see the scenic beauty, snow clad mountains and views which Swiss is famous for.
2. Which place would be a better place to land initially: Geneva or Zurich are the options available from Manchester? I am also Ok to land at one and depart from another.
3. As I am not going to drive, so would appreciate if somebody can recommend the cheapest way to travel for what ever places are mentioned in point 1 considering that I might have to return to Geneva/Zurich on last evening for a return flight on next day.
4. A short trip plan for 3 days would be great to have.

Resolved Question: Where to go in
i'll be backpacking through europe in may/june of 2011 and am trying to lay out an itinerary. i really want to go to switzerland, and from nice, france, i can get an easyjet flight to geneva. however, i can only spare two days so i'd want to pick one (hopefully easily accessible) place and i've heard that there are better cities than geneva...it's just the most economically appealing destination since i can get the easyjet flight for 27 euros and get there early in the day. however, is there anywhere that i could access from geneva instead of staying in geneva? i really want the swiss feel with the mountains and whatnot, but at the same time im not big on skiing so it would be more to appreciate the scenery and see other things. so do you recommend that i stay in geneva, or head somewhere else? also, i would ideally head to munich after my two days in switzerland, if that impacts anyones thoughts. THANKS!
