Resolved Question: What would be a realistic
I am going to Uganda with my boyfriend (who gets bored easily...) for 7-10 days in February. He has family there but we will mostly be doing our own thing. What would you suggest as a realistic itinerary? The only thing I specifically want to do is some kind of safari, but other than that I am open to any suggestions. Are there any 'must dos' that we should include? I'm pretty much open to anything so any suggestions would be welcome!

Resolved Question: How safe is Uganda..?
Through IVHQ organization, I signed up to go to Uganda for three months to volunteer in an orphanage. I read the osac crime reports and it said crime had dropped and it wasn't as bad as it was before. The 2013 crime report just came out, and my family is not happy. Crime is rated critical, which is above high. I have spent the past five months working as much as I possibly can so I have the money to go, so it's not like oh it's just whatever if my family doesn't want me to go. Americans aren't allowed to drive after dark in certain cities, and I'm working in the orphanage Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday I'm free to do what I want but IVHQ told me not to go out by myself. I mean they're making it as safe as they possibly can for me, but my mom is freaking out. I've wanted to join the peace corps ever since I was 16, so I've been wanting to go abroad for a while now. I know I would regret not going, but I don't want my family to be dreading the days till I leave. What do I do?

  Resolved Question: Genocide in Uganda
I have a project due in 2 days about the genocide in Uganda. I want to know the basics about it. Who started it and who it was between, what was the war about and why it started as well as how it started. If you guys could also tell me if the united nation intervened why if they did or why not if they didn't that would be helpful. Also, was anyone tried and convicted of this crime?
